Just came back from my camp yesterday and after bathing and eating a bowl of maggie mee (my pre dinner), I went straight to bed. It was like around 7 and I slept right through the night till 10 this morning. DAMN SHAG can the camp. On the first night i slept at like 2 plus I think and on the second night, 3 plus? And I had to wake at 630 on both the following mornings. But it was pretty okay..fun activities, made new friends although after the first day before going to bed in my tent, I really wanted to go home. Nothing to do with the camp itself or my group members but it was just CAMP. I am so not a camp person but I decided to give it my all and be participative in everything and i'm glad I did and that all my group members did and I'm very proud of that!!
The activities on the first morning were things to do with team building (which is what "tb" in "ftb" stands for) which required a lot of team work be it in planning or in actually executing the task. It started out pretty rough but after a couple more activities we began to be good at what we were doing by improving on what we could have done in the previous activities. It was pretty physical but more so for the boys esp the bigger boys we literally carried almost everyone in the group. I take my hats off to them. They carried me leh ME. lols.
I'm like the heaviest girl there btw I'm so fat =(
Then on the first night we had like a "treasure hunt" thingy where we had to go from station to station to collect clues and stuff. The games were VERY DIRTY that night and involved flour and water and jam and paint and worms and smelly raw food! There was one where we had to eat slices of apples with our mouths but the catch is that they were embedded in like 28462837 mealworms!! Thank goodness there was a slightly elevated platform in the middle of the mealworms so it wasn't like in direct contact with the worms but it was still gross cuz when you bend down to get it like you can see worms wriggling at the corner of your eye and it's damn disgusting!! Another one was where we were blindfolded and had to fish for a supposed "eyeball" in pail of unknown substance and I was damn scared I thought it was like fish eyeball or what but it turned out to be bubble tea pearls. Anyway, it was the substance that was disgusting. I was lucky cuz mine felt like vomit but it was actually flour and water i think. However the other pails contained stuff like squid and like fish all. Then some of their hands stunk like hell after that. haha.. Oh and there was a game where our group lost to another so we had to drink up a blend of 3 ingredients. The winning group picked celery, onion and chilli sauce and that was REALLY REALLY GROSS I almost puked it out. It was like fear factor there and then man. I'm never laughing at people who make vomiting noises and have convulsions when they are made to drink weird concoctions like that again.
After all that, I definitely needed to bathe but the queue was freaking long and on thop of that, there were only 2 drains in the whole row of showers! One in the first cubicle and the other was outside the last cubicle. So basically the water will just flow from the 2nd to last cubicle before it gets flushed out. As you can already guess, the cubicles were flooded! as in like before i even stepped in, the water was already ankle length! And it wasn't even like clean water okay it was soap water plus all the dirty things that I mentioned above. damn yucks! But no choice la I felt so dirrrty that I would even soak myself in that ankle length water if there wasn't any water lor. Then the thing was that the partitions between the cubicles weren't like complete partitions i.e. not joining to the walls so like if I bend too near the shower head like people will be able to see me and stuff. So I had to bend backwards awkwardly about like 45 degrees whilst standing a distance away from the shower head so that nobody would see me. To make things worse, the shower head was damn low! I mean I know i'm taller than average but it won't hurt to make it abit higher right! At least if it was higher the short people can get water also leh. But lower! Wa lao on top of bending at some awkawrd angle I still had to bend my knees somemore. Damn hard to bathe la! If you ask me which was the most tiring activity of the camp I would tell you showering even though we had to carry an entire raft made of big metal poles and barrels quite a distance to the beach on the second day.
Second day almost consisted of similar activities also but we had camp fire night that night! It was not bad cause 2 unique cca groups from smu came down to perform. First was some brazillian martial arts thingy which was martial arts and dance combined into one! VERRRY SEXY. And the guys were...well, let's just say they were adding fuel to the big fire on front of me. Second was a percussion group thingy like those that sometimes perform along orchard road with all the different kind of drums and cowbells..I think I wanna join that but i don't really know if I have that good a sense of rhythm and plus the people there were good looking and I heard that you have to be good looking to join (which is a bit what la) so I might not cut it. Oh wells! Our group performance was abit cui la that night but after the performace was over, the Dj started spinning stuff so everyone was just dancing away and it was pretty fun!!
Then the third and final day was supposed to be some amazing race around ECP thing but cause it was raining, it had to be held inside the place itself which kinda made me happier because I didn't really fancy the idea of running around since it's my favourite thing on this planet just below say um, bathing in pee. Well anyway I was just looking forward to going home because my adrenelin was running low already and I was damndamn tired. Camp ended at around 4 and I took this shuttle to bedok with rachel and we cabbed home. My bag was 2 times heavier since almost everything in it was wet like my shoes and clothes and towel all. Damn jia lat. I'm still feeling abit sleepy actually...Anyway I've got another camp to attend on the 30th man but I think this one won't be so physical but more play play but still... wish me luck!! =)
I just changed my blog song it's Adam Lamby baby!!
