I'm so glad that the SMU interview is finally over. I was fretting about it for about two days because I was afraid that I would get a super vocal group who would outshine me =( Worse still, I was scared that it would turn out to be an individual interview!! Okayy so for those who don't alr know, the interview was split into 3 parts - Mini compre, mini essay and a group discussion (interview) whereby we kinda had to debate about whether this Swedish ex convict (who commited a hate murder) dude deserved to study medicine in a prestigious uni. He got kicked out of the uni when they found out he was a murderer but the thing is apparently in Sweden, companies and schools don't have the right to do a background check on these criminals because they believe in giving them a second chance. I felt abit sad for the guy but after all he DID knowingly commit murder and thus I slanted towards the "dont let him be a doctor" side. So at first the interviewers made us go one round each and then opened the discussion to the floor but nobody wanted to go first so I jumped at the chance! I really hope they'll gimme credit for that. Lols. After that everyone kinda got involved and there wasn't a minute of silence alr. I would say that everyone got an almost equal amount of chance to speak. Okay so now is the time where I pray for the best!
Also just read Ger's post about Earth hour yesterday and I totally absolutely agree with her. Really, everyone working tgt for one hour a year isn't gonna help save our earth very much not to mention the fact that I wouldn't say many ppl took part in it ytd. Didn't know about the part where there were students camping with candles in styrofoam cups though but it's really quite stupid. Plus somemore they are Uni students is it Ger? Cannot believe their stupidity. Of all people you'd think they'd know better. Oh anyway I just saw on the news that there was a JJ Lin concert ytd to promote this "event" which is again ironic because do you know how much energy it takes to run a concert? With like spotlights and all? If this event didn't exist then there wouldn't be a concert at all. Sometimes I wonder whether this hype about going green is actually making the condition of our earth better or worse. Well I guess if you made the effort ytd to turn off the lights then good for you but you should try doing it more often and not because everyone else was doing it ytd. I'm not gonna talk bout this much because I hafta admit that I'm not exactly a very green person in some ways but I try in other ways like by telling cashiers that I don't need plastic bags for small items and stuff.
Just in case you are wondering if I turned off my lights ytd, I was out with my Godpa in the car so well..haha..My sis was like " Eh 830 alr you know it's earth hour! Godpa off your lights!" which is quite stupid because how do you off car lights right. It's illegal. Haha actually drivers ytd could have avoided getting fined if they forgot to turn on their car lights because they can say "but it's earth hour what!". Okayy enough of the lameness.
Watched Confessions of a Shopaholic ytd!!! Can't rmb much from the book cause I read it eons ago so I'm not exactly sure if the movie did the book justice but I do rmb tht it's supposed to be based in London or something not New York? And that her best friend wasn't supposed to marry the geek guy (who looked pretty hot for a geeky dude) so soon! But it was nice la since I cried. A couple of times. After the movie me and Clare went to eat and next to us was this girl and her bf who were irritating us like hell. Apparently she was watched the movie too (prolly same theatre) and was complaining about how "She looks so bimbo you know? Like it's so unrealistic that she can write such good articles." Firstly, looking good and knowing how to dress does NOT automatically make you stupid and Secondly even though I thought you were annoying, you seemed to be quite with the fashion so are you saying that you have no brains as well? Oh and not forgetting the fact that you were spekaing with a slight slang which was slightly bimbotic. SHEESH. Dunno how her bf tahan. She started complaining about various things THROUGHOUT the meal and he just accomodated her. Love is blind. Or deaf in this case.
First time wearing my zebra top so I decided to snap some shots of myself. Haha! I think Zebras can survive in the arctic region because boy was I feeling hot. (As in the literal sense)

Shocking thing happened today!SMU called for an interview this saturday at 915 in the morning. That is damn early considering how the guy told me that I have to be there 20 mins earlier. I was surprised to receive this call because application isn't even closed yet! Think they are probably doing it in batches (as in interviewing) since there will be alot of applicants and not enough time to decide who they want. I don't think I made a very good first impression to the caller because all I said is "okay.okay,okayyy." and it sounded kinda like I wasn't interested but in actual fact I was shell shocked and totally didn't know how to react! Anyway how else am I supposed to react right? Like "OMG OMG ARE YOU SERAI-OUS?" I'm sure that would have been worse. I hope they didn't alr pre-judge me from this phone call or else I'm quite sure that their gonna but a big fat cross against my name under "round 1".
I don't know what to wear either. It's like "smart casual" but i think i'll make it slightly more formal to show how serious I am about this. Yes! I must look matured also. Like office girl. Think I will wear my specs also to make me appeeaaar smarter.
Swoped shift with another teacher so I'm working later tmr! Start at 1030 meaning more slp time! yayyyyy. Was feeling excited for modparade's new collection today but there seems to be nothing nice so I'm feeling very empty inside. I'd better receive my dress and top soon...OR ELSE....

Oh i forgot to add in the joke of the day! While waiting for my "till-kingdom-come" turn to see the doctor, Claire and I went to eat Tau Huay with longan. There, she pointed to the signboard with the various tau huay and chin chow stuff and their prices and said "Jie, see Reg name there leh" which I thought was like damn lame cause Reg obviously referred to Regular and not Regina. But the ironic thing was besides the word Reg in brackets was the word "xiao" in chinese (small) and I thought that was damn funny cause Reg is so short! HAHAHAHA. It's a curse I tell you. Never name your daughter Regina if you don't want her to end up small.

So I'm stuck at home today because of sore eyes which according to the doctor, is contagious therefore I didn't go to work today. Might not be going tmr as well. I miss the kids =(
Hate it. Let's just speculate how I caught it shall we? It didn't just fall from heaven and landed on me because well it was passed on from someone or somewhere. By tears. Or like eye liquids. Not eye contact or anything like that so don't be afraid to look me in the eye and tell me you love me!
It could have came from heaven, in the form of rain. Whereby a sad sore eyesie person was crying her heart out (I assume a girl cause we get hurt more easily) on this big open field which resulted in a pool of tears on the ground. The grass was too full to absorb any of these nutrients because let's see..it has been raining quite alot recently. So these tear particles rose up and up to the sky and condensed and came down as rain which i was caught in since it has been raining quite alot and dripped into my right eye! Tadah! There is a probability of that happening okayy. Probably more than the sore eyesie person shaking my hand which I then used to rub my right eye.
I have to apply eye drops which are not so bad but I even have to rub ointment into my lower eyelids! It's yellow and abit oily and disgusting and it blurs my vision for awhile. It's like a damn weird feeling.
I guess my condition isn't so bad but the doc gave me 2 days mc just in case cuz it's like a childcare and I hafta like play safe and stuff.
Today is Uncle Sim's daughter's (Shang Yi) wedding! Mum and Dad are going for the wedding dinner tonight at Mandarin I think. Not enough space for me and Claire (but we quite small what!) so we hafta stay at home =( I like to see brides leh =( Very sad. Mum got a call on the house phone this morning at 7 plus (the time where I decided that I couldn't go to school and tried to get back to slp). I know because I heard the phone ring. Apparently Uncle Sim called and asked her to go up to the 8th floor to see the bride. AND SHE ACTUALLY FORGOT TO WAKE UP ME (technically speaking she didn't have to cuz i WASN'T SLEEPING.) and ask me along! Very very angry! And she still dared to tell me that she looked pretty today. ggrrrrr. Well when I came back from the doctors, the wedding car was downstairs ( A Lexus, my dream first car) and there were like some ah beng ppl in suits. hahahaha..Apparently when they arrived in the morning, they were horning and horning which according to my mum is like a typical cheena thing to do to announce the arrival of the groom, both to the bride and the entire estate. I think it's quite funny. Maybe we can expect that from Reg's wedding next time. But annoying as it sounds, I also want!! If I'm still living here, I would demand that the grrom bring all his friends and that they all hafta horn very loudly so that the entire neighbourhood will know and look out their windows and throw pink and white confetti which I would then pay Ange's bf to sweep after the bridal car drives away. Here, I am going to state the type of bridal car I want : A long long limo. Haven't decided on colour. Then maybe it will have a little flag at the corner (like the presidents car kind) but saying just married or something. haha! Dunno if can afford anot but I can dream and work towards it right! I'm already saving for my dream wedding! I really believe in a big white wedding because I only intend to marry once. (And then have many affairs. Haha just kidding! I'm really kidding arh.)
Okayy enough about weddings. Let's revert back to my sore eyes topic and how I had to wait 2 freaking hours to see the doctor for like some few minutes. I dunno why some people can take so long for consultation. It's like as if they are reciting 3 acts from some Shakespeare play or something. So when I finally got in, I kept asking questions to make my wait worthwhile. Like about why sometimes I cannot smell. This was not very wise as because of that question, I had to pay for extra meds. But if it helps then whatever right. Then I asked about whether it could have been my contacts even though I know it's not cuz it's been 1 half weeks since i've worn it. She said don't think so but must clean well and I wanted to go through my entire cleaning routine with her but I was hungry. So I said thank you and left.
GONNA APPLY FOR THE VARIOUS UNIVERSITIES NOW I AM DAMN EXCITED AND SCARED AND AFRAID THAT I'LL DO IT WRONGLY. THAT'S WHY I HAVE BEEN PROCRASTINATING! I only wanna put 2 choices cuz honestly those are the only 2 that i wanna do and the rest are hardly applicable like all the science courses! But shall put more crap stuff to make me feel safer. I wanna watch friends ugh bye. Btw I thought Adam did very well on AMI ytd and it was haunting but in a good way. very unique! For the first time, I think Simon can go suck cock. HUMPH!

Saw a kitten lying in the middle of a small road near church just now when Daddy was driving me out to the mrt. It was a white and brown stripped kitten and it was lying on it's side, slightly flattened I think (because a car probably ran over it), bleeding (fresh, crimson-red blood) AND VERY IN PAIN. It was flailing it's limbs around very helplessly while it's body seemed to be held down to the road by a ton of rocks. It's face...
I still haven't gotten the image out of my mind after nearly 3 hours. Damn upset that I couldn't possibly help it...Could have asked my dad to run over it again I guess to end it's agony but I'm not God so I guess I don't get to decide on when and how someone or something dies. It would be terrible if it got run over again and didn't die. For all I know, it might have managed to get up and maybe be lucky enough to be handicapped? If that is even considered lucky. Dad's still in church so he might see it again later so I'll ask about it when he gets back! Well at least if it were to die, it died in front of a church!
Today just REEKS of boredom.
